KNOWLEDGE FOR DEVELOPMENT CENTER

The AdNU-KDC offers the people of Bikol a venue to discuss development issues. The KDC is a user-friendly, easily accessible learning center that is open to the public. It serves as a venue for stimulating discussion and dialogue on development issues. Government policy makers, the private sector, NGOs, development agencies, students, media, and the academe have access to a wealth of resources and information in the KDC.

The putting up of this KDC in the Bikol region, the tenth of its kind in the entire Philippines, has been made possible through the partnership between the World Bank and Ateneo de Naga University.

AV/ELECTRONIC RESOURCES COLLECTION

The Compact Disc Read Only Memory or CD-ROM databases of such reference materials as Encyclopedia, Encarta, 3D atlas and other titles are found in this section. A search in any CD-ROM database can be done by typing the topic or subject needed on the keyboard. Simple instructions on how to proceed then appears on the screen. Other collections such as DVD, VHS, Transparencies, Slides, Study Cards and Models are also available.  


ARCHIVES

This houses the official records and manuscript collection of faculty and administrators, photographs, publications, student theses, and other materials that are significant in the history and progress of the Ateneo de Naga University.

SPECIAL COLLECTION

Another section on the 3rd floor is that of the Special Collection. This section stores rare Philippine and Bikol materials donated by the late Dr. Manuel Abella, a Bikolano, as well as other donors.
