    World Bank Open Data - DATA CATALOG

       The World Bank's Open Data initiative is intended to provide all users with access to World Bank data. The data catalog is a listing of available World Bank datasets, include databases, pre-formatted tables and reports. Each of the listings includes a description of the data set and a direct link to that set. Where possible, the databases are linked directly to a selection screen to allow users to select the countries, indicators, and years they would like to search. Those search results can be exported in different formats. Users can also choose to download the entire database directly from the catalog.

     
  • World Development Indicators (WDI)
  •    - provides a comprehensive selection of economic, social and environmental indicators

       - covers more than 900 indicators for 2010 economies with data back to 1960

     
  • Global Development Finance (GDF)
  •    - the sole repository for statistics on the external debt of developing countries derived from loan-by-loan records

       - includes a narrative account of recent trends with tables summarizing the capital flows and debt statistics for reporting countries

     
  • Millenium Development Goals
  •    Presents the official data, definitions, methodologies and sources for more than 60 indicators to measure progress towards the Millenium Development Goals.

     
  • Global Economic Monitor (GEM)
  •    Provides daily and monthly commentary on global economic conditions along with direct access to high frequency data that is refreshed daily it provides analysis of current economic trends, economic financial and comodity data indicators, an intensive database including growth and commodity forecasts adn access to the iSimulate modeling platform.
