All About the KDCs |
|
|
|
| KDC Vision |
In the next five years, we envision the KDC as a pro-active and dynamic resource
center that will promote knowledge for human development.
It will serve as an area for consultation, an avenue for dialogue and understanding,
an agent for change and transformation of leaders, and a catalyst for knowledge
absorption.
It will espouse innovation, consultation, and consciousness-raising while reaching
out especially to non-traditional clientele (such as the military, farmers,
fisherfolk, community leaders, etc.) and strengthening its partnerships and
linkages. |
|
| KDC Mission |
To serve as a hub for consultation and dialogue, a catalyst for innovation and
knowledge sharing, and a change agent for transformational leadership and good
governance
To expand and strengthen the network of development partners beyond the traditional
academic partners and linkages
In line with our institutions' vision and programs and using the resources
in our community, including the KDCs, we undertake to share information, facilitate
the exchange of experiences, and organize the appropriate fora for meaningful
and informed discussions of development issues.
To promote knowledge sharing, we utilize a wide range of media and venues,
including the Internet, distance learning, symposia, dialogues, printed and
audiovisual materials such as those available to the public in the KDCs.
We affirm our belief that development is about people, and we support the country’s
desire for social progress, better governance, and economic stability. Within
this framework, we continue to establish, expand, and strengthen our partnership
with various groups in society.
Various KDCs help engage the community in informed discussion and encourage
participation of people in development through knowledge sharing. |
